Uponor hears Valley Middle School student ideas

Uponor North America staff visited Valley Middle School in Apple Valley on May 24 as a follow up to a previous visit earlier this spring. According to the company, since the first visit, sixth-grade students have worked in groups to design, prototype and create products using Uponor PEX pipe and other materials. The students shared presentations and demonstrated their prototypes. A group of seven Uponor volunteers went around to different student groups to hear presentations and try out the prototypes. Students also shared how they would improve, change or expand upon their first prototypes. Some products created included a dog collar tag for pets, hanging plant holder, guitar pick, pan flute, decorative pot for plants, a desk organizer and paint brush holder.
